As a mature student in 2008 and completing my degree in Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Kent, my dissertation question was, How does Her Majesty's Government accommodate elderly people’s needs whilst in prison? This subject sparked my interest in health and social care, an industry I have been involved in ever since.
I have worked at senior management level in domiciliary care in London and Brighton, been a Provider, Nominated Individual and Registered Care Manager. In my senior management capacity, my roles have focused on business development, business turnaround, training development and delivery. I have also worked at a high level advisory capacity for the development of two technology platforms for the industry.
I have used this plethora of experience to further develop my company to support businesses within the industry on the road to realise their objectives and visions.
This is a great time to develop businesses not only in financial growth terms but also to make the customer experience an amazing one and to professionally develop and empower our teams to be confident and competent in their roles.
I currently mentor a registered manager new to the role and a deputy manager who both work within domiciliary care.
